52nd Annual World Championship Delicacy Contest

Germantown partied all weekend at the newly remodeled Hauck’s Handy Store (see pics here). But, on Monday, the classic Dainty contest will take place and a 2022 Dainty champion will be crowned. There will also be live music, food trucks, a beer garden and proceeds will be donated to the projects of the community council of the Schnitzelburg region.

Tuesday table tennis tournament

This is a one-night stand-up tournament held weekly on Tuesdays at Hi-Wire Brewing. So, if you feel confident, register at the bar before 6:30 p.m. There are winning and losing brackets, with everyone playing at least two games. The big winner gets a prize and everyone gets $3 lighthouse pints all night long.

Wednesday by the water
Big Four Bridge

You know boring music lovers, grab your lawn chairs and head to the Big Four Bridge for another great evening of live music by the river. This month’s concert features Routine Caffeine (6 p.m.), Sarah Shook & the Disarmers (7:30 p.m.), Moon Taxi (9 p.m.).

Kentucky Shakespeare in the Park

Kentucky Shakespeare got rave reviews (as usual), and this week you can see their production of “Much Ado About Nothing”. The evening schedule is as follows: Food Trucks at 6 p.m., Will’s Tavern opens at 7 p.m., performance at 8 p.m.

Pianooke – 1st anniversary!

If you’d rather be the performer on stage, head to The Bard’s Town for karaoke with live pianist, Julie Werkmeister McKay. The theme of this show is Summer Love, so bring your beach gear and have a few tropical drinks before you hit the stage.

Calling all nerds who love sweet beers, this event is for you. Every month, Nerd Nite has three great people who give a (fun but informative) 15-20 minute presentation on a wide variety of topics (math quibbles, the science of “Simpsons”, etc.). And you get intellectually stimulated by drinking, you guessed it, sugary beers.

Bicentennial Park Summer Concert Series

This monthly concert series is co-hosted by 91.9 WFPK. Think of it as a smaller Waterfront Wednesday on the Indiana side of the river. This month’s featured artist is Kiana & The Sun Kings, and opening is Jordan Blase.
