It seemed dangerous to jog, bird watch or call 911 when Black and after the murder of George Floyd by a police officer, there were a series of cases where the community reported being discriminated against. or received racist slurs. Now, in a recent incident, several Waffle House workers joked about asking for a noose in front of a black mother in Gainesville, Georgia.
@mrlegendmoss, a TikTok user, posted a video of her standing by her family’s table, documenting the incident at the point of sale. A waitress at the restaurant “asked for a noose” in front of her and her daughter, she said. When asked to speak with the manager, @mrlegendmoss told him he “had two nooses in his car”. Such incidents, while shocking, seem to happen quite often. In July of this year, New Jersey’s Abigail Elphick rose to fame after having a temper tantrum when she realized she was being taped while trying to punch a black client. In October, a woman in Alabama received a noose from a colleague who said black people were hanged in her town.

In the latest video to go viral on social media, the furious TikToker can be seen asking for the check and a phone number for their head office after her grueling treatment at the point of sale. She claimed in the comments that no one responded to her complaint online. Since Friday, November 12, the video has gained 1.9 million views.
“So I’m pretty sure it’s probably the [most] racist place I’ve never been, ”she is heard to say with frustration as she documents how she and her family were treated at Waffle House.
Waffle House then released a statement on Twitter after several TikTok users complained online, saying they were “taking the allegations very seriously.”
“We have contacted the client privately in order to obtain more information on this incident,” the statement said. “We intend to fully investigate all of his allegations, after which we will take appropriate disciplinary action.”
Twitter users have also expressed concern about this. One user said, “I would get up without paying and leave. I wouldn’t pay a dime. Then I would follow up by filing a complaint. Another user commented: “I hate posts like this where 1 person is claiming something. Sorry, but I want something more than a video of someone claiming to be racist”
One Twitter user said: “I’ll never understand why someone would hate someone else because of the pigment in their skin or whatever. The world would be strange if there were only identical humans running around. ”
“She’s a champion. I don’t know what I would do in this situation.” Another user replied.
“I’m white, my husband is brown. We were asked to leave a waffle house in TN by a few guys who don’t tolerate racial mixing. The management was cool about it. I hate racists and I’m sorry that you’ve been through this. ”said another netizen, empathizing with said victim of the situation.
