The IGP also strongly condemned the serious assault of the policewoman by its director, Ms. Abiola, and ordered the proper prosecution of the case in court.

Force PRO, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said Prof. Abiola, an Mbaise-born activist, seriously assaulted her male nurse along with some accomplices on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her residence in Garki, Abuja, due to the refusal of the nurse from violating professional ethics by performing domestic and household chores in her home.

LEADERSHIP also learned that Professor Abiola was once the wife of the late business tycoon and politician, Chief MKO Abiola.

The IGP also ordered the express prosecution of the arrested suspects who are currently in police custody, as the preliminary investigation shows overwhelming evidence of guilt on the part of the professor and his household staff.

The IGP also tasked the investigative team with ensuring the fugitive suspect is caught and brought to justice.
